During these uncertain times as the COVID-19 pandemic continues to evolve, our foremost concern is the health and safety of our staff and all those we serve in our community. We have made the decision to shut down our in-office operations as of yesterday.
While this situation is unlike anything else we have seen in our lifetimes, we are steadfast in our belief that the YWCA will continue to be a community leader in providing supports during times of crisis. Since 1907, YWCA Edmonton has been the largest and longest-serving women’s organization in Alberta. We have been there for women through two World Wars, the Spanish Flu, recessions, and many other trying times. As always, we will continue to lead by example, evolving and innovating to best meet the needs of the community.
We are looking at unique and innovative ways to continue delivering services to our mental health and disability clients, ensuring that they receive the support that they need at this time. While our office is closed, our staff will be working remotely until further notice.
Thank you for your patience and understanding as we navigate this difficult and unprecedented time. Please continue to take care of yourselves and your loved ones. Together, we will continue to support the health and well-being of our community at large.
