YWCA Edmonton is proud to collaborate with organizations, agencies, and community members to raise funds for our work. Every dollar raised helps build equity for vulnerable women and families in Edmonton and beyond.
Community fundraisers offer a unique opportunity for supporters to raise money while connecting friends and loved ones to the work of YWCA Edmonton.
Whether online or in-person, your support can make a difference in the lives of vulnerable people across Edmonton.
Fundraising Events
In-person events are a great way to bring likeminded people together to support a good cause.
From backyard BBQs to catered galas, every dollar raised supports life-changing programs and goes towards building equity, opportunity and choice in your community.
Online Events
Online platforms like Facebook and CanadaHelps make it incredibly easy to engage your networks and fundraise for any reason, including special occasions like birthdays, anniversaries, and tributes.
Create a campaign and challenge your friends to see who can show the most support!
What to expect from YWCA Edmonton:
We thank you for your interest in supporting YWCA Edmonton, but please note that we are unable to provide any staffing or logistics support for your online or in-person fundraising event.
Supports YWCA can offer:
- Charitable tax receipts issued for donations of $10 or more, when applicable
- Guidance on programs and the impact of your donation
- Access to our “In Support of YWCA” logo and/or letter for you to use while promoting your event
- Promotion of your event on our social media channels when possible

- Right to withdraw: YWCA Edmonton may, at any time, rescind the right to use our name for fundraising or other purposes.
- Funding: YWCA Edmonton does not offer funding or reimbursement of expenses for any external fundraising events.
- Liability: You are responsible for obtaining all necessary permits/insurance for your event.
