Grads: The Exhibition

YWCA Edmonton is proud to have hosted GRADS: The Exhibition – a showcase that honours art, sports and equity in lost women's history. This art show by renowned local artist Carolyn Campbell explored the legacy of the Edmonton Grads, and serves as a reminder of the importance of supporting equity and gender inclusivity in the sports world.

YWCA Edmonton was thrilled to be the Charity of Choice to host the 50/50 at K-Days this year!

For over 130 years, K-Days has been a gathering place and celebration of summer for Northern Alberta.This opportunity engaged thousands of individuals and families with the impactful work of the YWCA and raise critical dollars for our programs and services.

A grassroots project to commemorate the centennial of the first women being elected to Edmonton City Council

Searching for Izena: ‘Unwomanly’ Stories of Female Leadership at Edmonton City Hall is an award-winning podcast about the role women have played at Edmonton City Hall, including interviews and accouts from several surviving women councillors.

Searching for Izena was offered by YWCA Edmonton and Parity YEG.

The Power Lunch Speaker Series offered essential conversations on pressing gender equity issues impacting women across Canada.

These talks gave an opportunity for us all to learn from the perspectives and experiences of others as we work towards developing a greater understanding of social issues in our community today.
