YOUth Retreat
Connect, Grow, and Have Fun!
Join us for an unforgettable weekend at YWCA Edmonton’s Camp Yowochas, where adventure, friendship, and personal growth come together in a supportive and inclusive environment.
Designed for girls and gender-diverse youth ages 10 to 14, this weekend-long sleepaway retreat offers the chance to experience the best of camp life while building confidence, meaningful connections, and leadership skills kids can use in school and everyday life. Without the social pressures that can exist in mixed-gender environments, campers feel comfortable sharing their experiences, asking questions, taking healthy risks, and developing confidence alongside peers who may share similar experiences and challenges.
Whether they’re paddling across Lake Wabamun, taking aim on the archery course, singing karaoke, learning around the campfire, or participating in empowering workshops, campers will leave with memories, friendships, and skills that last long after the weekend ends.
The retreat fee of $100 per person includes:
- Round-trip transportation from Edmonton to Camp Yowochas
- 2-nights accommodation
- Meals throughout the weekend

Who are you and what do you want to become? Through creative activities and conversations, campers will explore their strengths, interests and dreams for the future, learning what matters most to them and celebrating the qualities that make them special along the way. Each participant will create a Becoming Me Bracelet as a reminder of their courage, strengths, and the unique magic they bring to the world.

🚀 Build Your Own Business | Presented by Kristyn Carriere, Founder and Chocolate Scientist, 7 Summit Snacks
Let’s bring your great ideas to life! In this fast-paced, hands-on workshop, campers will become young entrepreneurs as they dream up a product, service, or business of their own. They’ll brainstorm creative ideas, design a plan, think about their budget, and practice pitching their business to the group. It’s a chance to get creative, solve problems, think like a leader, and see how big ideas can become reality.
