The YOUth Retreat

YWCA Edmonton’s youth leadership program and Camp Yowochas staff have teamed up to bring you the YOUth Retreat, an inspiring getaway for youth who identify as girls between the ages of 10-18.

Hosted at Camp Yowochas’ beautiful 50-acre, lakefront property, the three-day retreat introduces participants to important building blocks around creating healthy relationships, financial literacy and community engagement. There will also be campfires, fun outdoor activities and even a Meet the Trailblazer session you won’t want to miss.

Our first YOUth Retreat is free and being held during the fall school break. It includes accommodations, meals and activities. Apply today because space is limited! Participants will be asked to provide feedback to help organizers with future planning.

WHEN: Nov. 13-15, 2022 (Agenda attached)
WHERE: Camp Yowochas

Participants will be provided with a packing list. Please also let us know if you require transportation. If there is enough demand, we will help arrange travel.

Many thanks to Volunteer Alberta and United Way’s Financial Pathways Collaborative for assisting with the retreat.

Application deadline is Thursday, October 13. Successful applicants will be notified on Friday, October 14.

“I always thought I was the only girl who felt she wasn’t good enough, smart enough, pretty enough. Now, I know that I am enough, and I can be anything I want to be. But the best part of GirlSpace? I met my best friend. We go through the hard times together now.”
