Communities in Crisis
We need to talk about opioid poisonings
Join us for an engaging fireside chat-style discussion led by esteemed facilitators, Dr. Kathryn Dong and Dr. Shazma Mithani. They will provide valuable insights into supervised consumption sites, opiate agonist therapy, naloxone training, and the impact of government policies. Following the discussion, we will have a dedicated session on naloxone training led by Blake Loates, a renowned harm reduction worker.
By attending this event, you will gain a deeper understanding of how to advocate for individuals who use drugs and equip yourself with life-saving skills to respond effectively to opioid overdoses. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to connect with like-minded individuals and make a positive impact on our community.
Light refreshments will be provided to ensure a comfortable and engaging atmosphere throughout the evening.
