It may not feel much like summer quite yet, but YWCA Edmonton’s YoWoChAs Outdoor Education Centre is already accepting registrations for their 2014 summer camp programs in July and August. YoWoChAs is located on Lake Wabamun, 80 km west of Edmonton and now offers a variety of day-camp and overnight summer camp programs for children from 4-16 year. YoWoChAs overnight accommodations range from cabins to tents and even tipis. Just imagine the adventure your child could have spending a week camping out in a tipi!
YoWoChAs Outdoor Education Centre offers many outdoor team building activities designed to teach kids respect for self, others and the environment. These activities include hiking, boating, rock climbing, archery and more.
YoWoChAs doesn’t just offer programs for kids; there are family camp programs available too. Join in on all the fun activities. Family camps run each March and September. YoWoChAs also hosts a Mother/Daughter weekend in October
New this year, YoWoChAs Summer Camp online registration is now available. You can also go to the YoWoChAs section of the YWCA Edmonton website and download the registration forms and either email your completed forms to firstname.lastname@example.org or fax the forms to 780-892-2888.
